About Wireless Without Limits Event
This premier event for South Africa’s wireless, fibre, and satellite connectivity sectors will run under the theme “Wireless Without Limits”, focusing on the future of connectivity and new opportunities in an increasingly competitive market.
This year’s event will go beyond traditional Wi-Fi, exploring advancements in fibre, fixed wireless, satellite, and private LTE/5G networks. A key highlight will be discussions on for spectrum sharing in the 6GHz & 3.8 -4.2GHz bands and the growing viability of private networks for campuses, industrial zones, and underserved areas.
The event will also examine the role of LE0 satellite services like Starlink, OneWeb, and Amazon’s Project Kuiper in addressing rural connectivity challenges and backhaul. Other topics include next-generation Wi-Fi business models, AI-driven network management, and the societal impacts of new technology.

One of his notable roles was serving as the founding chairperson for the Payment Association of Namibia e-Money forum, where he spearheaded efforts to drive interoperability and open banking initiatives. Additionally, he takes great pride in being a founding director of the ICT Professionals Association of Namibia, an organization dedicated to advancing the ICT sector in the country. In the past, he had the privilege of serving as an advisory council member to the Alliance for Affordable Internet (www.a4ai.org), contributing to their mission of making the internet more accessible and affordable worldwide. Currently, he serves on the Advisory Council for the Africa ICT Alliance (www.aficata.org), for which he also served as the deputy chairperson, where he actively contributes to shaping the ICT landscape in Africa. Furthermore, his involvement extends to being a former board member of the ISOC Namibia chapter, where he contributed to fostering a safe and open internet environment. Additionally, he has had the privilege of serving as a member of the United Nations Internet Governance Forum’s Multi-stakeholder Advisory Group (MAG), offering insights and perspectives on important digital governance matters. Through his engagements, he has gained a comprehensive global perspective on the challenges we face in ensuring equitable opportunities for all in the rapidly evolving digital age. Dr. Dawie de Wet (PhD Eng) is the Chief Executive Officer of Q-KON Africa and Chairman of the Group. He has more than 24 years of experience in the design, development and implementation of Wireless, Microwave and Satellite communication systems in Africa. In 1988 he joined the Q-KON board and was appointed Managing Director in 1993. In 2013, Dawie completed his Ph.D. in Engineering. His thesis titled: A scalable business model for mass customization of broadband services in the emerging Africa market summarised the result of seven years of research work focused on the value proposition of the domain where technology, business and market domains intersect. The research work provides both Dawie and Q-KON with a sound reference and foundation to meet current and future market demands in challenging landscapes.

He is an award-winning engineer, researcher and innovator who works in the wireless communications and networking space. He holds a PhD from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He has worked in both industry and academia in Europe and Africa. The project work ranged from the mining industry, multinationals and a regulator, to advanced applied research. While at the CSIR, his leading experimental research in TVWS enabled the provision of the Internet to over 20 000 users in two African countries and the setting up of the South African national TVWS Regulation. His work also contributed to TVWS regulations in Ghana and the United States of America. He has authored three patents, a book, two book chapters, over 150 research papers and popular science and news articles, and led the development of numerous technology demonstrators. His professional achievements have been recognised through multiple awards, including four Best Paper awards, and national and CSIR awards; invitations to deliver keynote addresses, plenary, and invited talks; and in serving in the General Chair and Technical Chair roles in several international Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) conferences. He is a Fellow of the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE) and a Senior member of the IEEE. He holds several international awards for his leadership in volunteering efforts in the IEEE.

Stand Construction
Fixing display material
- Display material may be fixed to the exhibition stand by means of double-sided tape or sticky-backed Velcro only.
- No nails, screws or permanent adhesives allowed.
Custom stands
- Prior approval has to be obtained from the event organizer for approval by venue for health and safety reasons one month before the event if you wish to have a ‘designer’ or custom-built stand constructed.
Venue Information
- Parking available in the grounds of Misty Hills Convention Centre.
- Neither the Organisers nor the venue will accept deliveries on behalf of exhibitors.
- All necessary precautions must be taken to avoid any damage to the physical structure of the venue during construction.
Health and Safety
- Exhibitors are strongly urged to ensure that they have adequate insurance cover for all exhibits, equipment, and display material.
- No highly combustible material may be used in construction of a stand or within the exhibition display.
- No solid ceilings may be used without prior permission.
- No dangerous chemicals or gas cylinders are permitted.
- Enter at own risk.
