We all know Barry Hilton as one of South Africa’s most loved comedy legends. But this time, Barry is bringing us something far more personal.
In My Life in 3D, Barry steps beyond the comedy stage to share his own story — with the wit and honesty we know him for — exploring life’s challenges, resilience, mental wellbeing and human connection. It promises to be funny, thought-provoking and, above all, very human.
For us, this keynote also carries a special meaning. It will be presented in tribute to our friend and colleague, Jens Langenhorst.
Of course, there’s plenty more happening on the day, with industry conversations, WAPA updates and the opportunity to reconnect with the people who make this community what it is. It's been a long road in achieving Dynamic unlicensed spectrum and we are very close to receiving 5.925 - 6.42GMhz in standard power for outdoor PtmP. Also 3.800 - 4.200GHz ( N77Band ) for private 5G networks for wisps. All will be unpacked at WAPA's exciting 20th anniversary celebration regional events. We will give you the business cases for private rural 5G networks and industrial applications such as open cast mining and industrial manufacturing.
We will also be discussing LEO satellites and why we need to embrace them and not fear them as Wisps. Conversations around the arrival of Amazon LEO and why are LEO'S different? What are the pros and cons?
