Consumer Complaints

Should you be a customer/consumer buying a service from a WAPA member company and you believe you are getting poor service or are involved in a dispute, you can contact WAPA to lodge a complaint.

WAPA’s members are bound by WAPA’s code of conduct, which contains rules and regulations for providing wireless services. Consumer complaints about WAPA members are handled by WAPA’s management committee. Because WAPA members are bound by a code of conduct you will find that the most reputable outdoor fixed wireless providers (WISPs) in South Africa belong to WAPA.

Please note:

Consumers must be able to show that they have exhausted every available option to resolve the dispute with their service provider directly, before contacting WAPA about the matter.

WAPA can only act if the company in question is a WAPA member. We strongly advise consumers to check that their provider is a WAPA member.

If your service provider is not a WAPA member you should encourage them to join.

If your service provider still refuses to join WAPA and you have a consumer complaint please contact ICASA on (011) 566 3000/3001 to lodge a complaint with their consumer protection department.

Please take a look at our Complaints Procedure and Policy for more information.
