Learn more in the Western Cape

June is officially the start of winter and it’s also the month in which we bring training to the Mother City. So if you are based in the Western Cape (or if you fancy a break from your home town!) join us on 6 June as we unpack the mysteries of fibre technology. Being held at Rondekuil Estates in Durbanville on 6 June, the fundamental fibre training agenda is packed with important information:

  • How to manage a layer3 ISP on fibre

  • Introduction and history

  • Cable, wavelengths & multipath signals

  • Different fibre technologies

  • Fibre manufacturing

  • Cable types

  • Splicing

  • Fibre connectors

  • Simplex vs duplex

There’s no greater lesson than the one learned from people who have walked the talk, so we’ll also be sharing the personal fails and triumphs of rolling out a fibre network.

Non-WAPA members are welcome to attend.

Remember to RSVP with the names and contact details of your attendees. Please also confirm whether you will be staying for the networking braai being held after the training session.
